My approach

A summary of my values, attributes and skills

Communicating

That which we are capable of feeling, we are capable of saying."
Cervantes

Writing evidence based educational materials, articles and books for a wide variety of audiences including teachers, young people, preteens, parents. Delivering public speaking engagements such as keynote speeches and guest lectures.

Educating

"Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all."
Aristotle

Direct delivery of engaging and innovative sessions to children and young people in school or youth settings. Small group, whole class or assemblies.  Offers sessions for Parents and Teachers so everyone around the child or young person is working together for best outcomes.

Empowering

“We cannot all succeed when half of us are held back.”
Malala Yousafzai

Empowering sessions for children, young people, parents and professionals with creativity, curiousity and equality at their heart.

This is an example of a slide used in sessions with young people to negotiate a safer space but also reflects the values base I work from and the two overarching principles that inform all of my work, the ethical relationships ditty (Taking Care of Me, Taking Care of You, Having an Equal Say and Learning as we go) and the Comfort Stretch Panic Model for assessing feelings and boundaries. All my work adheres to the Sex Education Forum Values and Principles.
